NEW ZEALAND
Queenstown - a tourist destination and ski resort
WHAT TO SEE AND DO
Queenstown is one of New Zealand's most popular tourist and ski resorts. Queenstown is set on the edge of Lake Wakatipu among glacier smoothed hills and rugged peaks. In winter it is a skiing centre and in summer people come to see the lake and take part in a wide range of outdoor activities.
Queenstown is one of the most popular places for skiing, snowboarding and heli skiing
in New Zealand. The greatest concentration of New Zealand's commercial ski
fields are located around Queenstown - Coronet Peak and The Remarkables; and Wanaka - Treble Cone, Cardrona and the Waiorau Nordic Ski Area. Wanaka is located only 117km from Queenstown.
