Most lightweight pads utilise cutouts in their internal foam to reduce mass. But if these cutouts are vertical, they allow heat to transfer easily through the pad. NEMO's proprietary design reduces mass but also maintains a layer of insulation throughout the entire area of the pad, keeping you protected and comfortable without wasting an ounce. NEMO Cosmo Air Sleeping Pad: The Cosmo Air is a lightweight sleeping pad with a built-in foot pump. This pad has a generous 10 cm thickness, but weighs only 810 g, making it ideal for tramping. Horizontal I-beam baffles create a flatter sleeping pad surface and eliminate any bouncy feel when inflated. Horizontal baffles also tend to support body contours better than vertical baffles since the sleeping pad resists radially folding around the body’s longitudinal axis.
