ACCESS TO TEMPLE BASIN SKI AREA

Travelling from Christchurch City the Temple Basin car park is set beside State Highway 73, 4kms west of Arthurs Pass Village.

From its well-defined walking track the walk takes you up to the Lodge and the Ski Field.

The walk takes 45-minutes in good conditions, and provides good views of the Pass and the surrounding mountains.

A free baggage lift carries your gear for you.

THE GOODS LIFT

Goods LiftThe Temple Basin Goods Lift will transport your gear up the mountain. There is no charge for this service. The baggage lift is located 300m west of the Temple Basin car park along State Highway 73 (towards the West Coast).

Other times for using the lift can be arranged by calling the goods lift office on (03) 377-7788.

Monday to Thursday 9:00am - 11:30am

Saturday to Sunday 9:00am - noon
4:00pm - 6:00pm

These hours are subject to weather conditions

BUS TRANSPORT - Christchurch -Temple Basin - Greymouth

Atomic ShuttlesDeparts Christchurch City (Christchurch Bus Exchange, 72 Litchfield Street, Christchurch City) daily at 7.15am and arrives Temple Basin Goodslift at 10:05am.
Departs Temple Basin daily at 2:45pm; and arrives Christchurch City at 5:25pm.

CANCELLATIONS for Temple Basin

All cancellations of Ski & Snow week bookings must be in writing. A 30% cancellation fee will be levied up to one month before the Ski / Snowboard Week booking commences. A 60% cancellation fee up to two weeks prior, and thereafter a 100% cancellation fee will be levied.
